Mark Rubin's previous involvement in expanding his own family's retail men's clothing enterprise gives him extensive insights into the diverse issues that families in business face. Formerly a senior tax manager with Price Waterhouse, he specializes in assisting family enterprises in complex ownership situations, including cross-generational ownership and management transitions and family office planning. His expertise covers the retail, finance, manufacturing/distribution and real estate industries.
Mark works closely with sibling management groups in strategic planning and executive development. Additionally, he is extensively involved in developing compensation and retention strategies for family and key non-family employees. Mark stresses education as a means of broadening commitment.
Widely quoted in various publications, Mark speaks frequently on issues affecting shareholder rights and responsibilities of participation and on the role of tax planning in long-term wealth preservation by families. Mark has served on the Family Firm Institute's Board of Directors and several family enterprise boards and assists family enterprises in establishing Boards of Advisors and Boards of Directors. In addition to his affiliation with Relative Solutions, Mark is the partner in charge of Multi-generational Family Tax Consulting at The Schonbraun McCann Group LLP.

Doug brings an extensive background in family business operations and executive management to his work with clients. Through leadership roles in his own family's business, as a senior manager in an outside-family business, and as an entrepreneur, he has a very broad business perspective. He has founded and operated businesses in both the US and Europe and resided overseas for 6 years founding and managing the European offices of his family's industrial instrumentation business.
Among his key focus areas is early generation family business conflict, where he seeks comprehensive conflict management based on a thorough understanding of the business, as well as family dynamics.
In addition to his affiliation with Relative Solutions, Doug manages Continuity Family Business Consulting, which he founded in 2002, serving the Boston area. He speaks regularly at the Enterprise Center at Salem State College and other venues across the country on family business management and governance.
Doug earned an MBA from the Wharton School and a BS in electrical engineering from Cornell University. He holds a certificate in Business Advising from the Family Firm Institute and serves as a mentor to other professionals in that program. He is currently enrolled in the Family Wealth Advisory program through FFI. Mr. Baumoel lives with his family in Beverly, Massachusetts.
